Assumptions and Principles

What are the fundamental principles and assumptions that will guide the design of the integrated pathway? In order to build an outline of the integrated learning pathway and topics for curriculum we established some principles and assumptions:

A. The new curriculum builds on the best of the past and designs for the future of the practice

B. Knowledge, skills and abilities are developed progressively to equip professionals over time

C. Different learners (and the market) have different needs and motivations

D. Regions, learners, trainers and the market are supported with a variety of delivery options

E. Market and practice growth should not be constrained by a ‘5 days’ training model

F. Assessment of learning could be an option for those looking for a more formal certificate

G. Selecting an entry point and program of study empowers learners with choice and flexibility

H. A Recognition of Prior Learning framework would help participants to identify their entry point

3.   Which of the principles resonate with you? Why?

4. Which of the principles do you have questions or concerns about? Why?

5. What would you change or add to the principles?
